All tenants of Karlstad's municipal housing company KBAB received an SMS on Friday stating that their rental contracts would expire on December 31st. Now the housing company is apologizing, reports P4 Värmland.
The message sent to all 8,300 tenants stated that they would also need to clean and return their keys. The same message was found on the tenants' login pages at KBAB.
Which makes it even more unfortunate, as it can be perceived as truly personal, says KBAB's CEO Carin Skarman to the radio channel.
The SMS was actually intended for a single tenant. It was the human factor that was behind it, and there are no signs of external influence or technical errors, according to Carin Skarman.
