Tickets for the Ice Hockey World Championship in Globen (Avicii arena) were released on Thursday and already six matches are sold out.
These are Tre Kronor's matches against Finland and Canada, the semifinals, the bronze medal match, and the final, according to a press release from the World Championship organizer.
"The pressure is enormous right now, and some matches are completely sold out, but there are still tickets available for some of Tre Kronor's matches, and we will also release more tickets later on. This may involve tickets that are currently booked by partners that we can make available to the general public," says Tony Wiréhn, CEO of the Ice Hockey World Championship 2025 in Stockholm.
In total, 100,000 tickets have been sold, including pre-sales for members of Tre Kronor's supporter club.
The Ice Hockey World Championship will be played in Sweden and Denmark from May 9-25 next year. Sweden is the main organizer, and in Stockholm, matches in Sweden's group, two quarterfinals, the semifinals, and the medal matches will be played.
Herning in Denmark will be the venue for the second group and two of the quarterfinals.
