According to the police, the suspicions concern sexual intercourse without penetration, where the victim was unable to resist. The suspected actions are considered rape, according to NTB.
The woman is not part of Høiby's social circle and does not know him, says prosecutor Hele Salomon to NRK.
She does not want to comment on this. She has not sought publicity, says Salomon.
She is having a tough time.
After being arrested in a car just after 11 pm on Monday evening, Marius Borg Høiby will now have to spend another night with the police.
It is unthinkable that he will be released before 10 am on Wednesday, says police prosecutor Andreas Kruszewski to NTB.
It is the same time when the police and prosecutor must have decided whether Høiby will be detained.
Search of Premises
The investigation into the latest suspicions against 27-year-old Marius Borg Høiby began on November 6.
In connection with Monday's arrest, the police conducted a search of his home at the Crown Prince's farm Skaugum outside Oslo. The police confirm to NRK that seizures were made, including Høiby's mobile phone.
Høiby claims to be innocent of the new allegations, says his defense attorney Øyvind Bratlien to Norwegian media.
He is cooperating well with the police and will explain himself, says Bratlien.
Haakon: Serious Allegations
Crown Prince Haakon, who is in Jamaica, tells NRK that:
These are serious allegations that have been made against Marius. Today, our thoughts naturally go to all those affected.
I would have liked to have been home with Mette-Marit today.
There has been a storm surrounding Høiby since August, when he was arrested suspected of assaulting a woman he had a relationship with.
He later admitted in a statement to NRK that he had used violence against his girlfriend and stated that he had consumed alcohol and cocaine at the time. Several other allegations of violence against former girlfriends have emerged since then.
