The Democrats' presidential candidate Kamala Harris has for the first time appeared on a longer interview with the conservative TV company Fox News, in what has been described as a not entirely risk-free move to reach out to Trump voters.
Fox anchor Bret Baier began by asking Harris how many illegal immigrants the Biden administration has let into the country in recent years. A question that Harris avoided giving a direct answer to.
The point is that we have a broken migration system that needs to be repaired, replied Harris and emphasized that the system was also broken during Trump's time as president.
She was asked if she still wants to give undocumented immigrants the right to obtain driver's licenses and access to subsidized healthcare, which Baier highlighted that she wanted during her election campaign ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
That was five years ago and I am very clear that I will follow the law, replied Harris.
About Trump, she said, among other things:
He is not stable.
