A video clip of Kamala Harris has become a viral success.
Now, images of coconuts are being shared together with the Vice President – and her laughter is being remixed to famous pop songs.
The viral clip of Kamala Harris comes from a speech she held in May last year, and has gained new spread during the presidential campaign, reports The Guardian. There, she talks about the importance of focusing on young people and their context, and quotes her mother.
She used to say "I don't know what's wrong with you young people, do you think you just fell from a coconut tree?", she says, followed by a loud laugh.
On X, her quote about the coconut tree, together with her laughter, has been remixed with songs like "Wannabe" by Spice Girls, "Gimmie more" by Britney Spears and "Alejandro" by Lady Gaga.
After Joe Biden announced that he will no longer be running in the presidential election, Harris is now being tipped to take over as the Democratic presidential candidate. Since then, she has been praised and noticed by several people in the entertainment world, including the British artist Charli XCX.
"Kamala IS brat", she writes on X, in a humorous reference to her album released in June. The post has received over nine million views, and several users have picked up on the joke by remixing Harris' laughter and coconut quote to songs on the album.
