The purpose is to help Ukraine to more quickly produce more of its own weapons and military equipment.
"Norway is taking from its own inventory and buying from Norwegian industry, but it is not enough. We must give Ukraine better opportunities to produce more, and this support will contribute to that", says Bjørn Arild Gram (Sp) in a press release.
According to the Minister of Defense, the money will quickly make a difference on the ground in Ukraine.
It is central that we continue the Western support to Ukraine, and that we continuously look for new opportunities to contribute to their defense.
