Among the many who had their homes completely destroyed in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood is the Swedish author and podcast profile Sigge Eklund with his family. Another of the thousands who lost their house in the flames is the Swedish sound designer Paul Ottosson from Lönsboda, writes Kristianstadsbladet.
Paul Ottosson and his wife were out shopping when they received a message that the house was in danger. They rushed home, and Ottosson managed to rescue his three Oscar statuettes and a wedding photo of his parents. The couple also managed to bring with them two of the valuable Chinese string instruments that Paul Ottosson's wife Karen works with.
They are like Stradivarius of her instruments, says Paul Ottosson to Kristianstadsbladet.
Only ruins remain of the house.
