Two companies are suspected of committing a crime in connection with the accident on the Jetline roller coaster last summer where one person died and several were injured. One of the companies is Gröna Lund, according to the newspaper Ny Teknik.

It was at the end of June 2023 that an arm broke on the underside of the front car of the roller coaster, which caused the train to collide with the rails and brake heavily. The passengers were thrown forward towards the safety bar and three people fell off.

The accident has been investigated by both the accident commission and the police. According to the State Accident Commission, the rivets in the arm had insufficient strength. The arm that broke on two occasions was newly manufactured and had been mounted on the train earlier that spring.

The police investigation is being conducted under the heading of grossly negligent homicide, grossly negligent bodily harm, and causing danger to another.

Now, two companies have been charged with suspicion of committing a crime in connection with the Jetline accident, according to documents at Stockholm District Court. One of the companies is Gröna Lund and the other company is active in the Gothenburg region. Which company is involved is classified as confidential.
