Before the 2023 football season, Viktor Granath left Västerås for Halmstad. Now he is back. VSK writes on its website that the striker is being recruited "home" – the contract is valid for one and a half years.
"We have been looking for an offensive reinforcement and now we are very happy to have landed this deal where we get to welcome Viktor back to Grönvitt", says coach Kalle Karlsson.
In 2022, Granath scored a total of 24 goals in Superettan and was named player of the year in the series. This led to the move to Halmstad, where he scored nine goals last year. However, this year he has had a harder time taking a regular spot in the team.
"Everyone knows what he did for us two years ago, now we hope he can give us even more edge up front", says Kalle Karlsson.
Before the Allsvenskan restart, newcomer Västerås is at the bottom of the table with only eight points from twelve matches.
