A girl under 15 years old was found dead in Landskrona on Tuesday night, according to the prosecutor's office. A girl of the same age is suspected of murder and kidnapping.

The murdered girl's mother tells TV4 News that her daughter was supposed to meet some friends at a pajama party in Landskrona on Monday.
Both under 15
Both the suspect and the victim are under 15 years old, and therefore the police have initiated an investigation according to the law on young offenders. Therefore, there will be no arrest or detention.
This means that we cannot say anything about the degree of suspicion. When it's someone as young as this, you don't use the same degrees of suspicion as you do in regular cases, says Olvmyr.
It was just after midnight on Tuesday that a police patrol found the lifeless girl outdoors during a routine patrol. The police officers began resuscitation and then received assistance from ambulance personnel – but her life could not be saved. After an hour and a half, she was pronounced dead at the hospital.
"Severe violence"
The injuries the girl was found with and other circumstances indicate a high probability that someone took her life, according to the prosecutor's office.

The girl could not initially be identified, and the identification that has now been made is preliminary. The police initially stated that it was a woman in her 25-35 years old.
