It was a double French affair at the top in the first round of the NBA draft, which took place overnight on Wednesday.
The first pick was French basketball forward Zaccharie Risacher, who was chosen by Atlanta Hawks. Then, Washington Wizards chose his compatriot Alexandre Sarr.
Two Swedes, Bobi Klintman and Pelle Larsson, are also part of the draft. However, neither of them was chosen in the first round and are likely to go in the second round.
Day two of the draft begins at 22.00 on Thursday, Swedish time.
Only three Swedes have been drafted to the NBA in total. Jonas Jerebko was the first (39th, 2009), followed by Jeffery Taylor (31st, 2012) and Marcus Eriksson (50th, 2015).
