Since last autumn, those who have a library card can borrow cards that make it possible to book two free tickets the same week at the Gothenburg City Theatre and the Concert Hall. The City Library has two concert hall cards and three theatre cards that are constantly lent out, says programme coordinator Martin Holmquist Boman.
It has become extremely popular.
The Gothenburg Opera is now introducing five opera cards at five libraries: Lundby, Bergsjön, Opaltorget, Götaplatsen, and Brunnsparken.
We want to make culture accessible to as many as possible and work very broadly. We also have something here that we call the Göta Workshop where you can, for example, borrow a podcast studio and sewing machines, says Martin Holmquist Boman.
