IFK Vänersborg has accepted to fill the vacancy in the women's elite series in bandy after IFK Rättvik withdrew from the series.
"It means incredibly much to us as a club. Our goal has been clear that we want to play in the elite series with our women's team and that we now get the chance to do it already this season, we see very positively to", says club manager Tobias Johansson in a press release.
Vänersborg, which has a young team, came fourth in the bandyallsvenskan last season.
Rättvik announced about a week ago that they could not participate in the top series due to a lack of players.
The elite series, which has eight teams, starts the season on October 26 and IFK Vänersborg plays its first match away against Skirö AIK.
