Bayern Munich's star Jamal Musiala suffered a severe injury in the quarterfinal against Paris Saint-Germain in the World Championship for club teams.
In stoppage time in the first half, Musiala collided with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
TV images showed that several players were devastated by the injury where 22-year-old Musiala got his left foot stuck under Donnarumma.
Judging from the images, he appears to have suffered a serious foot or leg injury and had to be carried out on a stretcher.
Jamal Musiala had scored three goals in the tournament and a total of 20 during the season.
Champions League winner PSG won the match 2-0 after late goals by Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele and is clear for the semifinal.
