Four men have been detained on suspicion of rape against two young women in an apartment in Borås during the night leading up to Wednesday.
We will continue to work with various investigative measures in the case, says the police's press spokesperson Hans-Jörgen Ostler.
We have conducted several interviews, but the crime scene is cordoned off and we will conduct a technical examination of the crime scene. And then we will continue to hold interviews with those involved.
The alarm came in to the police at four o'clock in the morning.
The girls alerted the police when they had left the apartment. They reported that they had been subjected to a rape by four guys in an apartment in Borås, said the police's press spokesperson Thomas Fuxborg earlier.
The women are, according to the police, "a few years younger" than the four men, who are said to be in their 20s. Fuxborg did not want to say if the victims are over or under 18 years old.
The police went to the scene and were able to apprehend the men, who were still in the apartment.
The girls were not forced to come to the apartment, said Thomas Fuxborg.
