Four people have been rescued after being found in a house buried by mud following powerful landslides that hit southern India.
It was on Tuesday that several landslides occurred in an area in the state of Kerala after several days of intense rainfall. Large quantities of mud, water, and boulders flowed down the valleys in the area and buried people while they slept.
A total of 195 people have been confirmed dead, but the rescue operation is ongoing to search for more who may be buried under mud and earth masses. Nearly 200 people are still missing.
This is the worst disaster in Kerala since the region was hit by severe flooding in 2018.
