It has been a turbulent year for the beauty chain The Body Shop.
In February, the British parent company was placed under compulsory administration due to economic problems. Shortly thereafter, The Body Shop filed for bankruptcy in, among other places, Denmark and the USA. The company was forced to close every other store in the UK.
In April, the Swedish branch of the company was liquidated.
Now it is clear that four former employees have bought the rights to continue operating the chain in Sweden and Denmark, according to The Body Shop in a press release.
In November, the new owners plan to open a new webshop and new flagship stores in Malmö and Stockholm.
Despite the company being shut down in April, around twenty stores in Sweden have continued to operate as independent stores.
