Five people have been killed in Russian drone attacks on Mykolajiv, writes the region's governor Vitalij Kim on Telegram.

A sixth person was killed when three Russian glider bombs hit Zaporizjzja, about 30 miles east, according to a Telegram post from Governor Ivan Fedorov. Another 20 people, including five children, are reported to have been injured in the attack.

Several people were also injured when a missile hit a five-story building in President Volodymyr Zelensky's hometown of Kryvyj Rih in central Ukraine.

"Every day, every night, Russia commits the same terrorist acts," writes Zelensky on Telegram.

On Monday morning, air raid sirens sounded over much of Ukraine after Russian bomber planes took off from their bases. Residents were awakened by urgent warnings.

"Attention! Danger of missiles across Ukraine!", the air force wrote on Telegram.
