The powerful fire that broke out in a workshop in Hultsfred at 13:30 on Monday was completely extinguished by 04:00 on Tuesday morning.

The rescue service is only on site for after-monitoring to ensure that the fire does not reignite, says the rescue service's lead operator to TT.

The fire stopped all train traffic between Kalmar and Linköping for several hours due to several small fires along the tracks, and it was not until after midnight that the Swedish Transport Administration's warning about traffic disruptions was removed.

In connection with the fire, a VMA, important message to the public, was issued to residents in Hultsfred, but it was lifted shortly after 16:00.

During the extinguishing work, the rescue service has shot eight gas cylinders inside the building. No personal injuries have been reported.
