A documentary filmmaker is sentenced to day fines by the Solna District Court for unauthorized depiction of protected objects. The filmmaker is thus the first journalist to be convicted of a crime against the photography ban that applies to protected objects.

It was in the spring when the filmmaker went to Solna to film the police station as part of an ongoing film project.

The law on photo and access bans for protected objects has existed for a long time, but after a legislative change last year, it now also applies to journalists or documentary filmmakers who gather images for publication purposes. This means, among other things, a total ban on photographing or depicting protected objects without permission.
