Anderson became popular in the 80s with her role as the receptionist at the radio station WKRP in Cincinnati in the TV series "Sänt var'e här", for which she was nominated for two Emmy and three Golden Globe awards.
"We are crushed to announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother", says Anderson's family in a statement.
"Sänt var'e här", from 1978-1982, takes place at a radio station struggling with declining listener numbers and trying to boost with a focus on rock music.
Anderson played on the big screen in the comedy "Stroker Ace" together with Burt Reynolds in 1983. They got married later and the couple became a target for the tabloid press before they divorced in 1994.
