The fibre network has been sabotaged in several departments in France, writes Le Parisien.

Cables in electrical cabinets belonging to the telecom operators SFR and Bouygues have been cut in at least six places. According to information provided to the newspaper, it is primarily the fixed telephony that has been affected.

There is no information on whether the sabotage is coordinated or who is behind it.

On Friday, the train traffic in France was hit by extensive disruptions when a coordinated attack against key points on the tracks stopped the high-speed trains TGV.
