The proportion of those who believe in rising housing prices in the coming year fell to 46 percent in the latest housing price barometer from Länsförsäkringar.

This can be compared to 49 percent in the corresponding measurement in August and 57 percent at the beginning of the summer.

The pace of bidding seems to have increased in line with the lowered interest rates, according to Marcus Svanberg, CEO of Länsförsäkringar Real Estate Agency.

"At the same time, the number of homes for sale is record-large and there are uncertainty factors such as the geopolitical unrest and the interest rate development in the euro area and the USA", says Svanberg according to a press release.

The proportion of those who believe in lower housing prices in a year was 6 percent in September, the same level as in August.

The latest survey was conducted during the period of 9 to 17 September, with the help of a randomly recruited web panel with 1,550 respondents.
