The Swedish Pensions Agency is to distribute the inheritance gains in the system faster to the premium pension. Additionally, the agency is reviewing the possibilities of distributing pension entitlements to pension savers more frequently than today.
In total, this could eventually give pensioners around 200 kronor more in pension per month.
Today, pension entitlements are distributed in December every year. However, the Swedish Pensions Agency is now reviewing whether the money can instead be distributed three times a year.
"By allocating inheritance gains and also premium pension entitlements more frequently in the future, the money is placed in the saver's chosen funds for a longer period. This exposes the money to higher risk and assumed higher growth as a result," says Erland Ekheden, chief actuary at the Swedish Pensions Agency, in a press release.
