Around 300 people have been evacuated from the parliament in Bucharest since a visitor threw a flammable substance into a room, reports Romanian media.
A fire is said to have broken out in one of the parliament's public areas.
Police are on the scene, the building has been shut down and no personal injuries have been reported.
