On 16 June, Serbia and England meet in what will be the European Championship premiere for both countries. Then, supporters will have to do without alcohol in the stands.
The match is assessed by German police as a high-risk match "based on history and the countries' hooligans".
Serbia has many hooligans. The English, with alcohol, can sometimes become very aggressive. So it's a big job, preparing so that hopefully nothing happens, says Christof Burghardt at the German police to Sky News.
Supporters will still be able to buy light beer at the arena, but it must not be consumed in the stands.
The British news site reports that over 300,000 Englishmen are expected to make the trip to Germany to support their favourite team.
The European Championship kicks off on 14 June with the match between host country Germany and Scotland.
