He has found another solution outside the village, to be able to prepare himself in the best way. So it is, there are different athletes who have different setups to solve their preparation, says the national team captain Kajsa Bergqvist in Max according to Expressen.

He feels that he gets better conditions and another calm. He has had this type of setup before.

During the World Championship in Eugene 2022, Duplantis also stayed at a different hotel than the rest of the Swedish team.

It's not many who have the star status at the Olympic Games that "Mondo" has and then life in the OS village can become stressful. I have read about the American sprinter Noah Lyles who has it tough and hides in the dining hall in the village, says former athlete Carolina Klüft, expert in Max.

According to Expressen, Duplantis arrives in Paris on Wednesday. The pole vault qualification takes place on Saturday and the final on Monday.

Duplantis is the reigning Olympic champion and Sweden's biggest gold favorite in Paris.
