Dometic, a manufacturer of everything from camping stoves to portable wine coolers, is warning that deteriorated market conditions are pulling down sales in the third quarter of the year.
"The current macroeconomic situation and market conditions, including high interest rates, lower private consumption, and customers' purchasing patterns, are having a negative impact on Dometic's sales," the company writes in a press release.
Sales are now expected to decrease by around 15 percent for comparable units (organically) compared to the same period last year.
The company adds that it is now planning further measures to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
"We are proactively adjusting our capacity and are today 1,600 fewer resources (full-time equivalents) than two years ago and will continue to take countermeasures to remain agile and efficient," says CEO Juan Vargues according to the press release.
