The Dockworkers' Union is issuing a warning about a blockade of war materials to and from Israel.

The blockade, which is to come into effect on January 28, is taking place according to the union as a show of solidarity with the Palestinian trade union movement, due to the war in Gaza.

Exactly which goods will be affected is still unclear, but according to the chairman Martin Berg, the union will apply a precautionary principle.

"This means not taking special consideration of economic interests for Swedish companies and public institutions, but that we, in cases of doubt about goods on their way to or from Israel being of civilian or military character, will refuse to load or unload them", he says in a press release.
