The forest conglomerate SCA made an operating profit of 1.5 billion kronor for the second quarter, which can be compared to 1.4 billion kronor for the same period last year.

Turnover increased 2 percent to 5.4 billion kronor.

Higher prices boosted the result, but "good cost control mainly for wood raw materials, energy and logistics", writes SCA in an interim report.

"The uncertain market situation, characterized by discussions about tariffs and trade barriers as well as currency fluctuations, continues to risk affecting market conditions", writes SCA.
