The world star's lawyers have filed an appeal against the decision to deny Diddy's release on bail, according to TMZ. In the appeal, his defense claims that the decision to keep him detained is solely due to the enormous attention his case has received, and that there is no flight risk.
The defense also writes that Diddy will be drug-tested every week if he is released, and that he will refrain from contacting jury members.
Last week, Diddy was sued by 120 people for, among other things, rape, sexual assault, and sexual exploitation. The lawsuits are the latest in a series of legal actions against the American hip-hop mogul, who is already facing charges of sexual assault, assault, and extortion.
The many complaints originated when Diddy's former girlfriend Cassie Ventura came forward with accusations against him last year.
The prosecutors accuse him of running a "sex crime empire" and forcing women to, among other things, have sex with male prostitutes in 24-hour "sex shows".
