We cannot terminate a project that so many have invested resources in, which has only been used for two seasons and which has become an important part of European club and national team football, says Chairperson Lise Klaveness at a press conference.

The question will be voted on at the association's annual meeting at the beginning of March.

The VAR issue has stirred up a lot of emotions and criticism from clubs and supporters.

The interest organization Norsk toppfotboll recently conducted a survey on the men's side where 19 clubs responded no to continued use of VAR. 13 were in favor.

The Norwegian Football Association has made a mockery of the supporters. They asked people to use the democratic channels in the clubs. It was done and ended with a large majority in favor of abolishing VAR among all clubs, says Ole Kristian Sandvik from the Norwegian Supporter Alliance (NSA) to NTB.
