A deceased person has been found in the water in Boge on Gotland, reports SVT News East. The person is likely to have not died recently.
It may have washed up, there are signs that it has been lying there for a while, says Jens Mårtensson, duty officer at the police to the channel.
The body has not been identified and the circumstances surrounding the death are unclear. The police will now investigate the death.
There is no criminal classification and the incident is being treated as an unnatural death.
