A cyclist got stuck on a bridge in Vänersborg on Wednesday. He was shocked, but not physically injured.
The man, who is in his 30s, had stopped on the Dalbo Bridge to look for something in a bag. He had earphones in his ears and did not notice in time that the bridge was starting to open.
The bridge is 15 meters above the water, and the approximately 50-meter-long bridge section opened fully before it closed again. The man's bike fell down, while he himself was hanging from the bridge section during the opening, according to the police.
After the incident, the man received help from the police to get across the bridge. No crime is suspected in connection with the incident.
