Saturday's race over six miles ended with a fourth place for Stina Nilsson.
Despite stiffness and aching muscles, she aimed higher in the 11-kilometer tempo race.
The key for me was to start hard, to be in the mix and feel like I'm part of it. And I did that, she says to SVT.
Indeed, the 31-year-old did.
Nilsson finished second, 11.4 seconds behind winner Emilie Fleten from Norway, and then got Swedish company on the podium.
Jenny Larsson, second on Saturday, came third.
It took a long time before I got into it. It's hard to focus on technique and just a little on doing what you're supposed to do. It went incredibly slow during the first five kilometers, says Larsson to SVT and means that she takes a good feeling with her from the competitions in Italy.
Mostly, it's about trusting what she can do.
I've done the job and that everything I've seen this summer and autumn wasn't a coincidence. Trusting that I've worked from that.
Hopefully, there's more to pick up in January, during the remaining weekends.
