A long-standing dispute over who owns a watch that belonged to John Lennon has now been settled by Switzerland's highest court.
The court rules that it is Lennon's widow Yoko Ono who is the rightful owner.
The watch, a Patek Phillipe brand, was a gift from Yoko Ono to John Lennon on his 40th birthday, two months before he was murdered.
It was later stolen and had several owners before the watch turned up for appraisal at an auction firm in Geneva in 2014. The firm contacted Yoko Ono, who did not know it was missing.
It was an Italian collector living in Hong Kong who submitted the watch for appraisal.
The collector initiated a lawsuit in 2018 to have it established that he was the rightful owner, something Yoko Ono opposed.
Two previous court rulings in Switzerland have previously established that it is Yoko Ono's watch, and now the highest court is also following the same line.
