The Government should create a state-owned company that invests in new nuclear power. This is proposed by the Government's coordinator for new nuclear power, Carl Bergström, in a second interim report. This, among other things, to be able to utilize experiences from one construction project to the next.
"Organizational prerequisites are needed to handle an expansion of several reactors and access to more locations", says Carl Berglöf in a press release.
The Government and the Sweden Democrats have as a goal that new nuclear power, equivalent to two conventional reactors, should be in place no later than 2035, followed by further expansion to 2045.
