In the appeal of the verdict in the Svea Court of Appeal, which was announced in December 2023, the man stated that he fired a shot at the intended targets, but that no one was hit.

Previously, the man had completely denied the crime.

I haven't seen anything like it, that a person actually admits to the Supreme Court that they are guilty of attempted murder, says prosecutor Anna Svedin to P3 Documentary.

The Supreme Court denied the man's appeal and the life sentence remained in place.

It was the night of August 2, 2020, that several people in a car opened fire on two men who were standing outside a fast-food restaurant in Norsborg, south of Stockholm. The men escaped unharmed, but the girl who was standing nearby was killed.
