Among the dead in southern Gaza Strip, there are at least six children and two women, according to medical records.

Several more deaths are reported in attacks on Nuseirat in central Gaza.

Jabalia has been bombarded by Israel for over a week, both from the air and on the ground. According to the news agency AP, residents are stuck in their homes while bloody battles rage outside. The dead and wounded cannot be evacuated either.

Jabalia resident Ada al-Diqis tells AP that his relatives tried to move on Tuesday morning, but were shot at by the military.

We don't know who was killed and who is still alive, he says.

Another resident of Jabalia, Ahmad Awda, tells the news agency that the gunfire and bombings are constant.

On Tuesday, several people were reported killed and injured in an Israeli attack on Birkat Abu Rashid in Jabalia.
