Most downward among the most traded stocks in the OMXS30 index are the mining company Boliden and the real estate company SBB, down 3.5 and 1.8 percent, respectively.
The forestry company Stora Enso has reported a slightly worse result than expected in its annual report for 2024. The stock falls 5 percent.
On the other hand, it's going better for the heat pump manufacturer Nibe, which rises 0.7 percent. ABB is also on the plus side, up 0.9 percent.
On leading European stock exchanges, it's upward in Paris and Frankfurt, while the London Stock Exchange is fluctuating around zero.
The Tokyo Stock Exchange is closed for the weekend, but it has been slightly downward on other leading Asian stock exchanges after President Donald Trump's announcement that there will be 25-percent tariffs on steel and aluminum imported to the US from and with effect from March 4.
Before the opening on Wall Street this afternoon, the futures market is indicating a minus opening.
On the currency market, the dollar is virtually unchanged against the Swedish krona and now costs 10.90 kronor, while one euro is at 11.25 kronor.
With Tuesday's decline, the OMXS index has risen approximately 7 percent since the turn of the year.
