Three people who died in a severe bus accident in Northern Norway during the Christmas weekend were foreign nationals: a 30-year-old woman from China and a 43-year-old woman from France and her 12-year-old son.
A criminal investigation is underway after the accident, in which a bus traveling between Narvik and Lofoten on December 26 drove off the road and partially ended up in the water of a nearby lake. It was clear at an early stage that many of the passengers were tourists from several different countries.
It is still too early to say anything about the cause of the accident, according to Norwegian police.
