At the same time, an adult man is sentenced to five years in prison for aiding and abetting preparation for murder and serious weapons offenses.
The boy went to the police himself on August 22 last year and told them that he had responded to an ad on social media about murdering someone.
The police then took his phone, but the clients continued to contact the boy via computer. During the trial, he has stated that they threatened him, saying they knew where he lived and would harm both him and his family.
On September 5, he was picked up at his hometown and taken to Malmö.
At the funeral on September 13, the boy was overwhelmed and taken away. He was not found by the police until September 25. The abduction was initially investigated as suspected human trafficking, but the investigation has been dropped.
The boy's lawyer has criticized the police for not doing more to protect the boy, reports SVT.
He did the right thing, went to a police station and provided the information, and it's up to us as authorities to take care of it, comments Nico Miselli, head of the police's regional investigation unit, to SVT News Skåne.
He adds that the responsibility for taking care of young individuals under 18 years of age lies with the municipality and social services.
