The boy was arrested on an Öresund train on its way to Denmark during the night leading up to Tuesday after a large-scale investigation, according to information provided to TV4.
TT has attempted to contact the investigation leader Tomas Olvmyr without success. He tells TV4 that he does not want to comment on the information.
The only thing I can say is that the investigation is in a very early stage. This means that we are working intensively to gather material, says the prosecutor to the channel.
It was late on Saturday evening when a 55-year-old man was shot to death in his home in Skurup.
Earlier this summer, a 20-year-old man was lightly injured in another shooting in central Skurup. A man of the same age is detained, suspected of attempted murder.
The police are investigating possible connections between the events.
Of course, we are looking into it, it's unusual with shootings in this small town. But I cannot confirm anything now, said police spokesperson Sara Andersson earlier to TT.
Lawyer Johan Pieplow confirms to TT that he has been appointed as the boy's defender.
A first interrogation with the boy was conducted today, where he denies the crime, he says to TT.
Due to his age, the boy is currently being held by social authorities while the police investigation continues. According to Johan Pieplow, an additional interrogation will likely be conducted later in the week.
