The police and bomb squad were called to central Borås on Friday for a comprehensive operation, reports Borås Tidning.
According to the police's press spokesperson Christian Brattgård, there was no danger to the public as long as the cordons were respected.
The police on site tell Borås Tidning about a smaller bang.
When we are here on another matter, a smaller bang occurs. It's not something that has exploded and no one is injured. But given the current state of the world, we take the safe before the uncertain and get help from the national bomb squad and task force to ensure no one gets hurt here, says outer police commander Oskar Swedin to the newspaper.
Otherwise, the police are tight-lipped about what the operation is about or what type of suspected crime it involves.
