The death toll has risen to six people after Saturday's Israeli attack on a port in the city of al-Hudaydah in Yemen, according to the health authority of the Iran-backed Houthi movement.

A massive fire followed the attack, which according to Houthi leader Mohammed Abdulsalam targeted fuel depots and a power plant. In addition to the deaths, 83 people were injured and three are still missing.

The attack was, according to Israel, a response to a drone attack on the Israeli city of Tel Aviv on Friday, when one man was killed and eight were injured. The Houthi movement took responsibility for the attack.

The blood of Israeli citizens has a price, said Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Saturday.

This is the first time Israel has taken responsibility for an attack in Yemen. Gallant warns of further operations if the Houthi movement "dares to attack us".

At the same time, the Houthi movement's military spokesperson Yahya Saree says that "the response to the Israeli aggression against our country is inevitable and will be enormous."

Israel's military (IDF) has identified the port as a significant supply route for receiving Iranian weapons, such as the drone used in the attack on Tel Aviv.

On Sunday morning, the IDF reported that a rocket fired at Israel from Yemen had been shot down.

The Houthi movement also claims to have fired several ballistic missiles at the Israeli city of Eilat and at an American ship in the Red Sea, reports Haaretz. The attacks were "successful", according to Yahye Saree.

Large parts of Yemen are controlled by the Houthi movement, including the capital Sanaa.
