Arundhati Roy is writing her autobiography, writes The Guardian. In the book, which has the English title "Mother Mary comes to me", the Indian author will reflect on her life and her complex relationship with her mother.
Roy debuted with "The God of Small Things", and thanks to it became in 1997 the first Indian author to be awarded the prestigious Booker Prize.
From the late 1990s, she has primarily been active as a political activist and debater. Her second novel, "The Ministry of Utmost Happiness", came in 2017.
