The weapons that guerrilla soldiers from the terror-stamped PKK burned during a symbolic disarmament ceremony in Iraqi Kurdistan are exhibited at a museum, reports Sveriges Radio's Kulturnytt.
"These weapons are an important part of the Kurds' contemporary history. They are also a sign that something new is beginning", says Ako Kharib, manager of the Amna Suraka museum in Sulaymaniyya to Kulturnytt.
In total, 30 PKK fighters burned their weapons near Sulaymaniyya on July 11.
