In a joint statement after a meeting where Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the Palestinian Authority, and the Arab League participated, it is emphasized that they do not support any proposals to relocate people from Gaza or the West Bank.
"We look forward to working with Trump to achieve peace according to the two-state solution," write the six parties, according to several media outlets.
It is unclear whether Trump meant in his statement that the people of Gaza would live permanently or temporarily outside of Gaza.
It's literally a demolition site right now. Almost everything is destroyed and people are dying. So I would rather cooperate with some of the Arab countries and build housing in other places, where they might be able to live in peace for once, said Trump at the end of January.
