Apple's AI venture: "A bit of a shrug"

Apple is entering the AI war with tech giants with the Apple Intelligence initiative. Moreover, they will be collaborating with OpenAI and utilising their chatbot, Chat-GPT.

She says that Apple was forced to come up with an AI initiative of this type – but that it wasn't enough to instil confidence in the market. The share price dropped nearly two per cent in conjunction with the presentation.

According to Bratt, Apple has struggled to jump on the AI bandwagon due to the emphasis they've placed on personal security.

AI is set to help with organising notes, proofreading texts and messages, and creating drawn images, albeit in limited form. Among other things, in the "Image Playground" service.

A crucial part of the presentation was security. For instance, the amount of personal data collected will be limited, and if the data is to leave the phone, the user will be asked first. This was something Evelina Galli reacted to.

The question will also be put to the user when the voice-controlled digital assistant Siri cannot answer a question and wants to use Chat-GPT instead.

Siri is getting a major update overall and will be able to read what the user wants to do better.

Apple Intelligence will be coming to different operating systems, and the final version will be launched in the autumn.
