The West Indian island state of Antigua and Barbuda is being removed from the EU's list of tax havens – the countries that are not considered cooperative in tax matters.
Even the South Pacific island states of Fiji and Palau are considered to have taken "promising steps", but will still remain on the list for the time being.
In total, eleven countries or self-governing areas are now counted as tax havens. In addition to the two aforementioned, the blacklist also includes the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Anguilla, Guam, Panama, Russia, Samoa, Trinidad and Tobago, and Vanuatu.
